Class of 2012: Walking Across the Stage and into the Office

The college graduating class of 2012 is heading into a better job market than alumni of the previous three years, according to a new study from CareerBuilder and CareerRookie.com. More than half of employers (54 percent) reported they plan to hire recent college graduates in 2012, up from 46 percent in 2011, 44 percent in 2010 and 43 percent in 2009. Of those who plan to hire recent college graduates, 29 percent expect to offer higher starting salaries than they did in 2011. While employers were most likely to report that they would pay between $30,000 and $40,000, a significant portion will extend offers exceeding $50,000.

You’ve been researching new solutions for your staffing or recruiting firm and the one obstacle that stands in your way is getting approval for a SaaS-based solution.

An Akken Series: Truth or Dare? SaaS or True SaaS?

true

In our first post in the Akken Series about the Cloud and SaaS, we explored the definition of SaaS with help from John Zappe at ere.net. We looked at the basic components that help us identify and understand the advantage software-as-a-service has over locally-installed software. However, the discussion lately has shifted from simply defining SaaS solutions to identifying True SaaS. But what is True SaaS, you may ask?

There has been a lot of talk lately about "the Cloud" and what it all means for businesses.  "The Cloud" also tends to go hand-in-hand with discussions about SaaS (software-as-a-service) and most recently True SaaS.
